A protective grille made from expanded metal, designed to cover the ends of ducts or wall openings. Its primary function is to prevent large objects from entering the ventilation system while allowing airflow.

Design & Stiffening

Available in various sizes. Grilles with dimension A ≥ 800 mm include a central stiffening belt for rigidity.

Surface Finish

Standard painted finish: RAL 9010 (White).
Options: RAL 9001 (Cream), RAL 9006 (Aluminium).
Custom RAL on request.

Pressure Loss Coefficients

For sizing calculations.
Inlet (ζ): 2.2 (A≤630) / 2.4 (A≥800).
Outlet (ζ): 1.5 (A≤630) / 1.7 (A≥800).

Material & Assembly

Panels: Expanded (tensile) metal.
Frames/Flanges: Steel sheet. Requires on-site notching & bending of duct ends.

Installation & Control

Duct Preparation

For free duct ends: notch corners to depth "C" and bend flaps; corners remain open to accept the grille flange.

Fixing Method

Grille is screwed directly to the prepared duct end or wall frame using EN ISO 1481 screws (6.3x16mm).

For Wall Installation

Use the "with frame" design. The complete unit (grille + frame) is fitted into the wall opening.

Installation Note

Cutting, notching, bending, and final assembly are performed on-site during installation.
